Dear La Verne:-

Was I ever glad to get your letter the other day. I got a bunch of them all at once. And yours was a little more welcome than either Franc’s or Peggy’s I think. Of course I guess I hear from them ofterner is why. But I’m glad to hear from them too as I can sure read a lot of letters over here.

I have been wondering if you had got my last couple letters. I thought your no was 305 But Franc’s last letter said it was 52 Ferris. So I’ll be more sure of you getting them now. That’s why they took nine days I guess.

It isn’t so bad over here if my relatives & friends were here & if tobacco’s & razor blades & other necessities wer’nt so high in price. However I expect some cigarettes soon mow from Franc & Elton. They can send a dollar to the Sweet Caporal tobacco co. & they’ll forward 300 cigarettes to me. We got balled up on the Eng. Money at first. But we’re getting used to it now.

I don’t want to buy your cold. We all have nice ones over here, from the change in climate I guess. Tell Peggy your G.F. thanks for the Hello & give it back to her from me.

Also toll Wilfred & Eleanor I wish them the best of luck & I’m glad the rest of the family is fine too. I’d sure like to see them. especially you & Jimmie.

I found me a nice little Eng. Girl about the third day after I arrived only eighteen quite short & small. She is a dear little thing. But still can’t come up to Onnellee. the one from Kingsville. I have been seeing her every nite but skipping to-nite cuz’ she wants to do some shopping. Ill see her to-morrow nite again.

Well Sis. I’ll have to take my prisoners over for supper I guess. I’m on the Military Police now & really have it soft. IJust started back yesterday after a six day leave Which I spent in London three days & the rest with peggy. Had a grand time. I’d better close for this time

Lovingly   Harry
